Jeannie uses the photographic medium to explore associations between our environments and state of mind. Her work deals with the in-between states in our inherent psychological journey: presence, absence, desire, loss, oblivion, awareness, and revelation. More often than not, her photography represents the state of mind within and invariably comments on absences in her current environment. Jeannie was based in New York City for almost two decades where she received her BFA in photography from the School of Visual Arts. She is now based in Singapore.
